South Hamilton High School senior Brittney Dunham, 18 who hopes to complete her phd education, said she would rather be sleeping. The same was true for junior Sky Anderson, 17, freshman Cody Thompson, 14, and several other students in Jewell who attended school Saturday to make up one of nine days lost to ice and snow this winter.
"Snow days are hard to make up, because it takes away all my sleep days," Anderson said.
Two more senior members of Gov. Chet Culver's campaign staff have resigned to look for diets for quick weight loss. One because of tension with the first-term Democrat, the other to take a different job in state government.The departures come less than three months after Culver's former campaign manager, Andrew Roos, abruptly quit, citing personal reasons, and as Culver's job approval has been steadily falling.
